Mempersiapkan Masa Depan: Menyongsong Pilihan Setelah Lulus Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK)

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in the form of an educational seminar at Tarakanita Pulo Raya Vocational High School, South Jakarta, on June 11, 2025. The background of this activity was the importance of preparing vocational high school students to face various options after graduation, whether entering the workforce, entrepreneurship, continuing higher education, or working while studying. The main objective of this activity was to provide insight and practical guidance for students in planning their future to be more focused and realistic. The method of implementation of this activity was in the form of material presentations, interactive discussions, and question and answer sessions to investigate more thoroughly into their interests and concerns. The results of the activity showed that most participants were not fully aware of the various post-vocational high school options, and this activity successfully opened their minds. A total of 114 students actively participated in this activity. The conclusion of this activity is that strengthening information and career guidance needs to be instilled early in vocational high school as part of character education and future development.
