Pembentukan Tim Siaga Bencana Alam Erupsi Merapi di Dusun Gatak Wukirsari Cangkringan Sleman

Abstract

Gatak Wukirsari Cangkringan Sleman Hamlet is included in the Merapi eruption-prone zone. The results of short interviews with residents stated that during the 2010 eruption, Gatak Hamlet was affected by the eruption in the form of volcanic ash, gravel and sand, which resulted in all residents having to evacuate. This created panic and trauma, as well as many fatalities. One of the causes is the unpreparedness of residents in facing an eruption disaster. The solution is to form an emergency response team in Gatak Wukirsari Hamlet, Cangkringan, Sleman. The number of respondents to this PKM activity was 30 people consisting of 16 women and 14 men. All respondents are members of the Karang Taruna Dusun Gatak Wukirsari Cangkringan Sleman. The activity was held twice on 25 August 2022 and 4 September 2022. The meeting started with counseling to provide cognitive and affective knowledge followed by direct practice of preparedness for the Merapi eruption and readiness to help eruption victims. The output target of this PKM activity is a booklet on layman's management for preparing for the Merapi eruption disaster which contains mitigation planning and handling of victims. The PKM results show that there has been an increase in the knowledge of the participants as evidenced by the increase in post test scores and the formation of a natural disaster preparedness team for the eruption of Mount Merapi consisting of young people in Gatak Hamlet, Wukirsari Village, Cangkringan, Sleman.
