Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Ibu-ibu PKK RT 01 RW 11 Kelurahan Meteseh Kecamatan Tembalang Kota Semarang Melalui Pelatihan Pembuatan Sabun Cuci Piring

Abstract

Concerns about the issue of global inflation in 2023 will cause the prices of household needs to increase. This has encouraged PKK RT 01 RW 11 Meteseh Village, Tembalang District, Semarang City to partner with universities in the context of empowering the people's economy. Through collaboration with the Mangunwijaya Catholic Polytechnic and the University of August 17, 1945, a training activity for making dishwashing soap was agreed. The material for dishwashing soap is chosen by considering how easy it is to manufacture and market. In addition, dish soap is one of the household cleaning needs that must always be available. Dish soap making training activities are carried out through 4 stages, namely: preparation of tools and materials, explanation of knowledge and functions of ingredients, explanation of recipes and how to work as well as manufacturing practices, activity evaluation, and economic analysis calculations. The result of this community service activity is the enthusiasm of PKK mothers in following and practicing the process of making dish soap, knowledge of tools and materials, principles, and how to make dish soap. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that partner groups can apply the knowledge provided for efficiency in household expenses and can become entrepreneurial activities to improve the family economy.
